  • The beaches: Of course! The two favourites are Chesterman Beach and Long Beach. These beaches offer the perfect privacy and calm for a relaxing afternoon of sun tanning, watching shorebirds, sea stars on the rocks, or whales in the distance, while puffing on your joint. All beaches in Tofino are weed-friendly, and offer the ideal scenario for a bonfire with newly-made friends!
  • Rainforest trails: Whatever your level of expertise, you can hike in Tofino, amidst the most impressive wildlife. Beginners can enjoy a great hike through the rainforest at Meares Island Big Tree Trail. If you have some experience, you can take an intermediate level trail at the awesome Pacific Rim National Park. Now, if you’re an expert, try the Canso Plane Crash Site.  In any case, make sure to carry your guitar and your weed-hookah or your bong to play a song under an ancient tree in the middle of the forest, with the sea as your witness.
  • Hot Springs Cove:  About an hour by boat from Tofino, you can indulge yourself with a relaxing bath in the natural hot springs of the Maquinna Provincial Park. A definite must-do for full relaxation? After the dip, take out your vape-pen and just lie down and relax.
  • Surfing:  This is probably the most popular activity in Tofino, so it is easy to find plenty of stores where you can rent the surf board and wetsuit, and purchase some classes.  Summer waves are the best for beginners, and Chesterman Beach is one of the top-favorites for taking lessons. Experienced surfers may prefer the winter waves on Mackenzie Beach.
  • Kayaking and canoeing:  Tours to experience sea life from a kayak or a boat are ideal for nature advocates.  There are many tours to Barkley Sound and Cayoquot Sound, where you can spot anemones, seals, sea stars, and other submarine life, while enjoying the calmness of the sea in the area.
